Anyway today's shoot went very very well. Shoot was at the lake and I was running late because this was only the 3rd i've been there. Got there on time, probably 2 minutes after they did. I used to feel bad showing up late to shoots, but after waiting on other models for so long, like Lucy for 45 mins one time, I don't feel inclined to be on time as much since i'm the photographer. Yes it's a douchey thing to do, but at least i'm not that late.
Got there, and did a meet and greet with Chloey. I tell you what, she looks way better in real life. Our first e-mail correspondence she sent an older photo of herself as a blonde, and looked way tall. Honestly I was about to blow her off since she lived too far, 2 hours away, but we kept talking and her recent picture got me hooked.
First shoots we always do a meet and greet, talk about the whole process, payments, questions and answers, and get a feel for the model. More than anything, it allows me to judge them to see if she's worth it or not.
Chloey is looking to be a model, always a dream, so I was willing to give her a shot, albeit not true modelling like society thinks. But at least its a paying shoot, and she didn't have to pay a $600 fee to a modelling agency. She told me she was thinking about doing that, and I told her no. Just no. Those sharks prey on nubile young woman with dreams, and the thought of shelling money for false hope is a scam. I'll leave that subject for another day.
Anyways back to the shoot, it was all good.
1st scene we shot was a nursing outfit shoot, just getting her to show off her uniform. I have a thing for uniforms, especially waitresses and nurses.
2nd scene was a workout shoot, didn't have to get her to workout alot to see the sweat. It was 98 degrees with high humidity, so we all got wet. Even though I was conducting the shoot in the shade, it was still too hot to do this outside, but I was determined to plow through the 4 hour shoot.
I really loved doing the workout shoot, nothing is more beautiful than a gorgeous woman taking care of her body. I had her doing squats, stretches, and was about to send her into the water for a wet shoot, but decided against it.
Our last shoot was a ballet shoot. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to do some lake dancing, due to my poor planning. The previous day I've been brainstorming ideas off an on, so I have a general idea of what I want to do. But when i'm on set and shooting, I usually forget, and most of the times I improvise in the middle of shoots, doing hand air gestures to the model.
I love this shot. This was one of the last shoots done, and it randomly happen. We had to relocate since the vanillas were in force at our old location, so we chose a picnic table. The sun happen to be in the right spot, and I took as much video as I can before it hit 4pm.
All in all, I will be definitely booking Choley again, good looks but more importantly, a willingness to follow direction and acting. Except dancing, i'm getting around to making a behind the scenes video of models doing weird requests.
